Jason Williams is a media composer, audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist and educator born and raised in Minnesota, currently living in Los Angeles. His main instrument is guitar, which he’s played for over 20 years. Jason is also proficient at: piano, bass guitar, drums and other various percussion instruments. Starting at the age of 13, he quickly developed a passion for accumulating as much musical knowledge and technical skill as possible. At 18 years of age, Jason decided to further his musical education by studying at The Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. He graduated in March of ‘09 and has since been part of numerous bands, released multiple records and has had the pleasure of working with musicians such as Kevin Talley (Suffocation, Dying Fetus, etc.) and Martin Rygiel (Decapitated).
Currently, Jason primarily composes, arranges, mixes and masters music for television shows, films, documentaries and anything to do with moving picture. Most notably, he composed all of the rock and metal cues as well as co-wrote the theme for season one of the show, “Shoorveer” on Diseny+ Hotstar and Hulu. He has also just finished work on his first feature film (soon to be released on major streaming services). Jason also writes for a handful of music libraries and labels with worldwide distribution. Additionally, he is very enthusiastic about production and mixing and mastering. Hence, his music is delivered with top-notch production quality.
